Sounds rather ambitious doesn't it? Well this is my next project. It's going to be hard, of course, but if you haven't noticed, I haven't been submitting many submissions to Newgrounds lately. That's because I have been perfecting my art skills and learning actionscipt 2 (I really can't be arsed with AS3 as of yet, but AS3 will be the coding most likely for MvCxK).
I wouldn't mind help with this project, I've done some "Concept Drawings" (aka Rotoscoping single-frames of animation for characters that may be used) so people can get a taste of what's to come.
I'm not aware of any 3 v.s 3 fighting games made in Flash yet, so this should be interesting. An additional feature I'm looking into is the possibility of using a game pad/ PC fighting stick instead of only just a keyboard.
So you see, looking at that, there's quite a lot of things already. Any help will be greatly appreciated, or if you would like to collaborate with myself (and hopefully others) to make this project a reality, please just message me or leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
If you're thinking that you're unsure if i'd finish Marvel vs Capcom x Konami, I'd be glad to prove you wrong. Why, you ask? Because I grew up with such greats like MvC, street fighter, MSH v SF .etc, So I feel like I'm paying homage to my gaming past making this project.
I'm guessing you'll want to know characters as well? Well, as it is a Flash game, I was thinking 3 each company, so that would be 3 Marvel, 3 Capcom and 3 Konami. The characters at the moment seem to be:
Marvel:
Spider-Man
Iron-Man
Hulk (Large of the Group)
Capcom:
Ryu
Mega-Man
(Any "Large" character)
Konami:
Triangle-Head (Large of the Group)
(Solid Snake?)
Alucard (Castlevania)
I'll be using the original sprites from Marvel vs Capcom (Where applible) as a rotoscoping "Baby Step", which means, I am thinking of creating a working prototype before starting the art (Rotoscoping) transformation.
Thanks for reading this, and if you want to help, just drop a comment!
EDIT : Sorry about Picture Quality, had to change File-Type in Flash and NG wouldn't take the .jpg format image.

An intersting way to do the rotoscoping would be to use a similar style to A Scanner Darkley. One up shot of this is that you could shape tween individual pieces of shading around the chracter to give the impression of more movement in your sprite set. This is only an idea but may be quite nice.
